P*ONG P*ONG is located at 150 West 10th Street, between Waverly Place and Greenwich Avenue, in
the heart of Manhattan's Greenwich Village. The restaurant opened on April 20, 2007. It is designed
by Andre Kikoski Architect, who received a James Beard Award nomination for Outstanding Restaurant
Design. We have 28 seats and 10 seats at the bar.
The chef, Pichet Ong, was formerly the pastry chef at Jean-Georges' Spice Market and 66 and, prior to
that at Rick Moonan's RM. This is Pichet's first venture as both chef and owner. His first book,
The Sweet Spot, was published in May 2007.
Despite Pichet's pedigree as a world renowned pastry chef, the menu at P*ONG is decidedly savory,
incorporating Pichet's genius for the innovative use of dessert technique in savory cooking and
his critically acclaimed ability to blur the line between sweet and savory. The result is a
tantalizing and often surprising mix of flavors, textures, and temperatures. The menu at P*ONG is
dynamic (often changing weekly) to reflect the availability of the freshest and highest quality seasonal
ingredients. Pichet's cuisine also reflects the different cooking techniques and flavor profiles he
experienced during his upbringing in Southeast Asia and his subsequent travels in Europe and the Far East.
Pichet prefers to cook naturally and with a minimum of fuss, showcasing the simple but sophisticated
marriage of a few key ingredients. As O Magazine puts it, Pichet's cooking style is: "elemental."
For many people, dining at P*ONG means indulging in one of our tasting menu options. Each course of

compliment each of our tasting options.
Our a la carte menu is divided into savory, sweet and savory, and sweet dishes. All, with the exception of
our sweet selections, are small plates ranging from $10 to $22. Our sweet selections are priced from $12 to $14.
We offer a full bar, an extensive specialty cocktail menu, and a wine list carefully selected to compliment our menu.
